Advanced Medical Physics, PLLC is licensed by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH C5427) to perform analysis of sealed sources for leak testing and commercial calibration of radiation survey instruments.

Leak Testing

Leak testing will be followed as per NRC Part 35.67 and New York State DOH Regulation Guide 1.7, item 12. The instrumentation used for testing is capable of detecting less than 200 dpm of contamination as specified in New York State DOH Regulation Guide 1.7. At the conclusion of leak testing, a Leak Test Certificate will be produced and mailed for certification of the process.

Survey Meter Calibration

The staff of Advanced Medical Physics has been calibrating radiation survey instruments for a combined 35 years. Radiation survey instrumentation will be calibrated as per New York State Department of Health Bureau of Environmental Radiation Protection, Radiation Guide 1.7. and NRC Part 35.61. Following calibration, a seal is affixed to the meter indicating the date of the next required calibration. Additionally, a survey meter calibration certificate will be produced and supplied to the customer.
